Fwd: sat gig symptoms notes to self

new phenomena happened 2x last sat:
'hesitation on toepush' L foot twice failed to flex in time to plant the heel, so instead, the topside of foot banged into the ground/walk; trip-up risk

then 3 days later, as of tuesday 9/17, the R foot started with electrical 'shock' needles numbing sensation first time ever, noticed mostly on every toe push to exit car, jarring enough that i had to change how i get out ex. swing both legs out then push on wheel with right arm to stand.  on good days, L foot is under 5-10% numb, if 15-20% it feels like a long sock folded over.  the R foot is totally different, its a jolting shock on applied pressure to inside ball/arch area.  if i brush stroke glance that part of my barefoot i get the ugly sensation, its as if a single nerve shifted or got more exposed to pressure overnight, or a nerve got pinched along spine that makes other areas more hypersensitive ex electrical disturbances in feet, body temperature, blood vessels, balance/coordination, organs/functions, stretching into headaches, focus, memory, phobia, wits.

physio clarified that my L foot not flexing in time to plant heel tripping me up is 'sensory and motor' nerves.  i'm just glad i didnt have to climb stairs or bleachers as that would have taxed one knee and may have wiped me out with mini blackout spells as it has in other recent and past gigs.  on thu 3.5 hr gig i dosed 15 drops 20:1 and i didn't notice the pain get worse or bother, so presumably it dissipated.

i just got a text to do a gig friday at laney college that i had to pass on, texting back:  'pain recovery from sat. was +15 hr, now both feet numbing, tripping a new hurdle on flat ground aka i want to but gotta pass on it to play it smart'.  and with all this developing this week, after doing online tests, an interview and background/drug tests wed, i finally got a job offer for part-time work at home depot, just in time to stress-test it all.  after 10 years and 500+ applications to assorted jobs from trader joe's to dispatch/deliveries to software support, home depot will give me a 15-20 hr/wk shot at 'online order fulfillment' which is good for me as long as i can actually handle it.

i often don't sleep well the night before a gig worried I might oversleep.  the 'breathe right' strips help me breathe easy and sleep deeper, deep enough to not always hear alarms or go to bathroom, so i had to do epsom footbath to fall asleep.  it does the trick, worth trying if you cant.

it hurt all day sat from the beginning to the end, 9a to 5p, gradually more as the day went +18 hrs recovery time.  first 3 hours was just dull ache on upper back and low-grade headache*,  both undesirable but normal enough most of the year so manageable.

* i get low-grade headaches 3x/wk, it comes and goes so i dont bother to do anything for it.   i sometime wake, sleep or go to bed with them.

to take the job, i had to give employer a big caveat and expose what i'm dealing with, then drove to berkeley dispensary to get fresh CBD, 20:1 ratio with THC for superior spectrum benefits that pure CBD isolate doesnt have (tried it, and if it worked at first, it didn't after a while).  i did a 5 drop kickoff dose at 1030a, 3 more at 1230p, 3 more 230p.  if it did anything it might have spread it around, feet again felt dead-heavy, half-asleep, numbing with toes spasming/twitching as if overstimulated most of the day, a peculiar unpleasant focus-distracting sensation.

i may have needed 4x the 5-drop dose, as 11 drops was still uncomfortable enough -its own kind of disturbing mild torture, making neither the job nor the +18 hr recovery remotely fun, not something i am inclined to agree to again, too uncomfortable for too long.  by the 4th quarter I lost focus got sloppy made 3-4 errors thinking the defense was hiking the ball, likely due to the same ANS-stress and nerves that branch into the mind affecting autonomic functions, balance, but also phobia, memory, focus, confidence, motivation.

it pains me to walk for hours afterward ex stopping to eat on drive home after 8hr gig is challenging on feet/low back and a knee.  even running a simple 'get milk' errand is asking too much. to put pressure on the gas pedal pains the foot.  24 hours later, getting out of car/bed still flares low back.

for awhile i have heel pain everytime i get out of bed or the car for first 10-20 strides, and i typically get out of bed 3-4x every night (10+ years) so sleep gets frequently disrupted.  but post-gig the sore low-back and body stiffness is 3x more intense than the daily norm.  daily, in bed, i get a painful charliehorse cramp in my L calf, but the night after standing all day, i get them in my hams, intense in my R ham, and bigger muscles like hams are proportionally more painful when they cramp.

* standing 9-5p in 80f sun 50% humidity only hands exposed but kept hydrated on gatorade all day and had a magnesium footbath at midnight

had excessive stiffness, soreness and cramps related to standing 9-5p.  so I lose sleep the night before re worry and the night after re cramps.  and that only adds stress on the already taxed nervous systems incl motor/sensory incl coordination/balance, ringing in ear, headaches, acute hearing/visual sensitivities, and most importantly ANS autonomic which controls everything incl body functions, body temperature, focus/memory functions, vital organs, blood vessel/pressure, heart-rate, breathing, bladder/bowel motility, swallowing/choking, etc.

so the new spectrum 20:1 CBD ratio took the 'unbearable' edge off from the last gig (overcast and rainstorm) by 10% but not enough that i'd want to take another gig or similar work on my feet, at least not standing still (so looking at jobs like stockroom/driver that keep me moving.  my left hand cant type accurately/responsively, play drums, cut meat, or drive well, which eliminates typing jobs like ticker headlines and dispatcher).  and because i am not programmed to 'say no' to work offers, i have a mon and thu gig but in those i can sit more on a stool and walk down the hall in between forums and will triple dose CBD.

'hesitation on toepush' L foot twice failed to flex in time to plant the heel, so instead, the topside of foot banged into the ground/walk; trip-up risk

the most significant item noticed occurred in first 2 hours before game.  on walks to the car to get my foldup-stool (which i sat on as often as possible at quarters/timeouts), my L foot had a longer-than-ever mid-stride glitch aka 'hesitation on toepush' 2x and twice the foot failed to flex in time as normal to plant the heel, so instead, the topside of left toebox banged into the ground/walk.  while i did not trip, this is new and worth noting as it is both an sensory and motor control hurdle that can lead to tripping at some future point.

i took the gig as a check-in, as excuse to try new CBD and to see what I can handle, as i think i may have gotten a notch weaker at the gym, struggling to lift/press 30 lbs with L arm over 6 reps (which i did to make sure i can lift 65 lb as various jobs require), my tumbler was 3-4x very hard to twist it open last 10 days, parallel to difficulty opening driver-side door.

i often hint that mom may have similar 'nerve health' hurdles i do as neuropathy often is genetic, and in my view likely relates to the impaired MTHFr enzyme/methylation that leads to vitamin/nutritional deficiencies resulting in neuropathy incl autonomic or even motor sensory issues.

two weeks ago, mom's extended family visited from guatemala and isabella shares many of my 55 anomalies/symptoms incl 'ormigas' (the sensation ants are crawling on you which i get on lower L leg), distention/bloat/gas and endless acid reflux essophogus burn, cold/hot spots on feet/hands, chronic back/joint pain, sensitivities, anxieties, takes sleeping aides, ringing in ears etc...  she shared what seems to work best for her which incl many of the same things i'm doing  a) naturopath  b) high dose vit BCD.

isabella also suggested more farout intriguing ideas like  c) neural therapy which is a broader category of 'nerve block' injections of procaine into nerve ganglions and trigger points i.e. scar tissue from prior operations or traumas incl wisdom teeth extractions.  many call it quackery, but she and husband feel 4 treatments in march reversed 8 years of suffering to where she has  a) far less chronic body pain and is  b) far less depressed/anxious/phobic.  she is afraid to exercise or do any exertion.  i know what she means, as i started with my naturopath after 'can't get enough air' episodes at the gym with muscle burnout jelly legs after 15min in yoga/squat class, so i get that fear.  i am more afraid to take on stadium gigs longer than 3 hours on my feet.

to be frank vs hint, i got roughly half my genes incl MTHFr from mom, and mom has multiple shared symptoms, though mine are further along.  so whatever i suggest for myself should at least be considered by mom or anyone else in the family who may have a few overlapping symptoms.  isabella's mom also had a new pain everyday and was thus grumpy/angry/snippy all the time and we now know what it was.  there are two free blood tests i've asked mom to ask her MD for, where they take a few drops of the blood she's already drawing to test, but she wont.  anyone taking high blood pressure rx could ask for it:  homocysteine.
