Lead-Poisoned: 3,810 US Communities Have 2x to 4x Flint's Lead In Water (Reuters 2019) | America's lead poisoning problem isn't just in Flint. It’s everywhere (Vox 2020)

what's in the water can make you or loved ones slowly chronically ill, cause disorders/disease, lower quality of life and torture/kill.

lead-poisoning 200-400% worse than Flint, were found in 3800+ communities across the USA, many in deep blue cities which are one party cities, as michael moore pointed out about Flint, run/controlled by machine democrats 50-100 years with no plans to protect public health or the children aka 'can't blame republicans' for toxic urban air and water (or crime, drug addictions).

in my view, poisoning by lead may well be the under-studied root of many urban issues, causing disease and degenerate behavior that lead to: addiction, crime, violence, homeless junkies, sex trafficking/prostitution/porn.  add to that, poisoning by petro-plastics since the 1960s, by high-fructose corn syrup since the 1970s, by lab sweeteners in the 1980s, all exacerbating an already lead-contaminated genome.

lead and toxins in city water has collapsed civilizations since Rome, it isn't a new challenge so there is no excuse for bureaucrats/agencies and elected city leaders risking public health by doing the wrong/opposite thing over and over.  it's as if the ivy league ruling class act incompetent while trying to make us all sick and hooked on medicine that never cures only suppresses symptoms while taxing other systems longterm.

so if you live in a suburb or in an urban area in an old building with 50-100 year old pipes, let this nudge you to get a $30 DIY drinking water at home test kit for 10 toxins incl metals, chemical and germs like this:

takeaways
  • 10 counties nationwide told the CDC that 10% or more of their lead poisoning tests came back positive (over 5 micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood). Four in Louisiana, two in Alabama, and the rest scattered across West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, and Oklahoma.
  • Of the 3,143 counties in the United States, 1,570 do not submit any lead poisoning data reports. 11 states don't submit any data: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.
  • EPA now says there is "no demonstrated safe concentration of lead in blood," and even levels as low as 2 μg/dL can reduce a child's IQ. CDC data estimates that almost 500,000 children in the US between the ages of 1 and 5 have a blood lead level above the 5 μg/dL standard.
  • high blood lead levels among black children were more than twice as prevalent; black children are at twice the risk of lead exposure as white and hispanic children.
