pain is 75% less frequent 75% less intense thanks to $50 smart motion control insoles that help the body realign muscle/joints in ways that build kinetic strength. i had to try these insoles for 4-8 weeks to eliminate any possible placebo factor. so far, i can say i'm back in the gym 3-4x/wk able to do more without joint issues.
after two seasons out injured, finally more muscle-memory density is quickly returning as i last 66% of my spin/yoga/pilates classes. left side muscle weakness and long muscle recovery, balance/numb issues, and other neurological symptoms related to internal chemistry remain, but this post is about how my joint pains largely shifted, nearly overnight, with these uniquely designed smart insoles.
this simple nature-empowering solution insert in my shoes has given me a lot of freedom back. this arch-building ankle-stabilizing insert may do for you, what it has for me.
my knees were first to feel better, my low back took a week or two longer, so maybe it worked its way up, and maybe there's still more to come.
this product is rooted in some incredibly simple well-researched design logic, applied to the human anatomy. i already referred to various articles/videos on the science involved in this solution, but having now used the insole for 60 days, i can say it shifted up to 75% of my joint/muscle pain, in my knees, hips and back. and it doesn't seem like a fluke.
and i've also learned plenty as to how this problem/solution applies to all foot/toe forms, not just greek/neanderthal feet like mine, but every foot type. so for various reasons, i'm happy to promote a product with affiliate links below that worked for me so you can buy/try a pair. it is officially the first affiliate product i am adding to the bloodposture blog/store.
* the reason the greek/morton's foot is also called neanderthal foot, is because all neanderthal footprints and bones apparently ever show the shorter big toe bone.

this insole 'took the edge off' - maybe, at the very least, it can for you too!
i immediately felt a 25% difference (in my knees), 50% after 3 weeks (back relief), and up to 75% after 6 weeks. the reason it is not higher yet is because my L knee still feels tweaks going upstairs every few days. i hope the last 25% may relate to my R leg being allegedly 1/8" shorter, skewing my hips, so i'll add a 1/8" heel riser in that shoe and see (just ordered).
but even if it stays at 75% pain reduction, i will still endorse trying this product.
my body/back hasnt felt this free to move, bend, twist in any direction at any speed, without fear or apprehension of sudden intense pain i've coped with for 15+ years. being able to move around without any concern or needing to think twice about it or focusing on proper form, is a level of freedom i haven't enjoyed in some years, so i dont take lightly, or for granted.

i shared as much with the owner of the insole site, and after a series of back/forth emails to clarify a few matters to help me grasp that this product can benefit a much wider audience than just those with obvious morton's foot. anyone with pronation/supination issues can benefit from this same solution, regardless of whether your foot is roman/greek/egyptian.
50% of the feet i glance, in sandals or open-toe shoes, have a visible greek foot, yet it turns out that anyone can have a shorter 1st toe bone even if your foot/toes appear otherwise.
i have a visible greek foot, but my sister and the owner of mortonsfoot do not, yet his knees began to cause all kinds of issues at 40 and he came to rely on knee braces to play sport, then finally discovered he had pronation issues, same as my sister. eventually, using the methods below, he'd discover he had a shorter/elevated 1st toe bone.
no matter how your toes compare visibly, there are a few tests to help determine whether your 1st toe bone is shorter than the 2nd. one is to make a fist with your foot/toes and see how the knuckles/boneheads lineup/compare, or you bend the toes up to look at the bottom of your foot similarly.
and the best way to determine if you pronate and how much, if you will benefit from a toe wedge insole and to figure out if a 3.5 mm wedge will be enough, is to find a hard floor and do this...

its a very unique brand of insoles designed to help your foot get stronger and do its job naturally by merely getting the big toe to connect to the ground a split second sooner and act like the sensor it was meant to be had the toe bone grown to full length.
it gives the brain the time it actually needs to calculate how all the muscles in the entire body, head to toe, should react/respond to best absorb all the torque, tension and shock on the anticipated next foot placement, to spread the load evenly across the toe box and foot (vs let the 2nd toe bone bear the bulk of the load down the middle of the foot like an ice skate), and to spread the load upward and downward across the entire structure like buildings handle explosive torque as one 'system'.
your brain/body/eyes do this 'calculation' in stride, stride-to-stride, everyday, your lifelong. but if your 1st toe bone is shorter or more elevated, the brain hasn't adapted fast enough to be able to calculate accurately for the time/space disparity, so all your life your posture/load issues up and down your spine/torso/body have been suboptimal, so your pains/issues stack up pile up, and it will stay that way until corrected with this unique precision solution.
its a fascinating system of logic that went into designing a solution to this problem.
the mortonsfoot site is more informational less 'store-like' aka there's no 'cart icon' but essentially you want to find the 3.5mm ProKinetics® Ultra Thin for 'youth' or 'men' or 'women' in whatever size. so to make it simpler, let me target you to what i bought:
i also got Solemate™ MicroLifts™ to stick on your barefeet when you go barefoot, in sandals, heels, long boots, spend time poolside or at beach or do yoga/pilates.
i also got the accessory Posture Control Heel Lift to add 1/8" riser to shorter leg.
so go try it and lmk what you think! for me, it was $50 well spent. i am now ready to order my 2nd pair to put in my soccer cleats so i can get back in the game! if i wore dress shoes regularly to work, i'd get a third pair for those.
if you're not sold yet, need more info, here's the summary i wrote the day i ordered these 02/20/17 after watching 3 videos and readings when i got "sold" on the problem/solution:
