3:35 100 mg with 7% solution = 8 drops. 4:50 take it upon waking and dont take other supplements for 3 hours to not risk turning iodine into iodide. 5:15 you need the cofactors to help the detox process, boost ATP, immune function, etc. if you dont take cofactors, the detox can be super intense. 6:15 100-400mcg selenium. 6:45 400-1000mg elemental magnesium (not citrate). 100mg+ vit b2 and 100mg+ b3 niacin. 500mg non-flush b3 or 25-100gm flushing b3. 8:30 they suggest 1-2 tsp of celtic sea salt daily. 9:10 mthfr warning where you have excess/adequate selenium, which i have, so i even had to eliminate onions/garlic. 10:00 longterm dose with cofactors ok, but do not consume anti-oxidant rich foods. it'll dilute the iodine. 11:00 mood lifting, more mental clarity, focus, better memory, feel stronger more resilient, sleep better. good for gum issues, urination issues, etc wide array. you can not meet your iodine needs with food alone (or brazil nuts). and most food is bromide rich which pushes iodine out of body.

Iodine is Key for Thyroid Health
Iodine is the key to a healthy thyroid and efficient metabolism, and even comprises a large part of the thyroid hormone molecule itself.
Even the names of the different forms of thyroid hormone reflect the number of iodine molecules attached -- T4 has four attached iodine molecules, and T3 (the biologically active form of the hormone) has three -- showing what an important part iodine plays in thyroid biochemistry.
Iodine deficiency is one of the three most common nutritional deficiencies, along with magnesium and vitamin D.
Since iodine is so important for thyroid function, wouldn't you expect to see an increase in hypothyroidism with insufficient iodine levels?
Yes, and that is exactly what we have seen.
This means that your thyroid problem could actually be an iodine deficiency problem.
If you feel sluggish and tired, have difficulty losing weight, have dry skin, hair loss, constipation or cold sensitivity, it could all be related to hypothyroidism.
More than 100 years ago, iodine was shown to reverse and prevent goiter (swelling of your thyroid gland) and to correct hypothyroidism. But we now understand that iodine's effects are much farther reaching.
Iodine has four important functions in your body:
  • Stabilization of metabolism and body weight
  • Brain development in children
  • Fertility
  • Optimization of your immune system (iodine is a potent anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, anti-viral and anti- cancer agent)
While iodine levels have fallen, there have been simultaneous increases in rates of thyroid disease, breast cancer, fibrocystic breast disease, prostate cancer, and obesity in American adults, and an increase in mental retardation and developmental delays in American children.

Look, mix it in distilled water only, never tap water or bottled water, they will both contain chlorine and in too many places fluoride, these are both halides which are from the same group as iodide (iodine) and bromide (bromine), so they will literally waste the iodine.  Plus distilled water is the only actually regulated water which is guaranteed to have ZERO contaminates.

They came up with Nascent iodine because no one has a patent on Lugol's iodine, it's public property, so of course companies and those with a financial interest in those companies will say Nascent iodine is better but it's BS. Lugol's is the best

Would creatine be ok to take before the 3 hour period of taking iodine? For example, take iodine, then an hour or so later, creatine before working out, then the minerals after exercise?

--Sun Fruit Dan
Yes.

you are only absorbing 6-12% when put on skin. Probably best not to take 100mg orally

I read studies of doctors who used 50-100 mg for their patients orally. It helped insulin resistance, migraines, etc.

Dan,  I am going to start this soon i have been gathering all the supplements i need.  I was just going to ask this one question (sorry for being a pain in the butt) The co-factors especially the selenium B2, B3 (i also take b12) are they ok to take with the iodine or should they be taken away from it also like 3 hours later as you mention or is this just stuff like vitamin c?  What supplements can be taken with Iodine and which should be taken away from it, or is it best to take the iodine on its own and do everything else 3 hours later?

--Sun Fruit Dan
I need to make an updated video on this protocol as i learnt from others that you can actually take all of the supplements at the same time unlike what most teachers on this subject say.

Why did the detox symptoms vanish at higher doses? Is there a reason for it. Also why do you use 7%

--Sun Fruit Dan
Because low doses do not kick out the toxic substances its releasing fast enough to reduce or stop detox symptoms completely.
I have 5% and 25% iodine at home both lugols. Their all the same just higher doses per drop.

--Woohoo
I figured that in low doses that the halogens continue to compete for the receptor sites causing the detox symptoms. Saturation of those sites with iodine no longer allows the flouride, bromide, chlorine into those receptor sites. Just my thoughts, whether it's true I don't know.

--Sita Rainbow

It's a bit confusing when you say to take iodine away from antioxidants, then tell us to take it with the antioxidant selenium?

The Iodine Mega Dose Protocol With Co Factors - Version 2.0
Sun Fruit Dan
Published on Oct 18, 2018

1:40 if you take only lose doses, it wont saturate your whole body to counter the deficiency. 2:00 molecular doctor found if you get a 50mg dose it'll give them a 90% saturation within 6 month period. 2:30 i recommend high doses as lower doses seem to induce more detox symptoms, but for me+many 100mg+/day it seems to eliminate the detox symptoms greatly. 3:45 taking it with food maximizes the absorption and taking it only with water can be sensitive for some. 4:05 i personally dont recommend nascent iodine as it cant saturate the whole body or enough to remove bromide. 4:40 get 100mg in distilled unfluoridated/unchlorinated water and drink it with food. 5:00 take high quality multi-nutrient supplement. shop carefully as many aren't clean. take 3 with first meal, 3 with 2nd meal. insure you get 200-400mg/day selenium (L-methionine, not yeast type) which is key to work with iodine. 2000-5000mg ascorbic acid vitamin c but many take much higher, its very well known for detox. if you get a lot of detox symptoms, take more vit c. 1/2 tsp of raw salt ex. celtic 2x/day. the salt binds to bromides the iodine releases. if you get intense detox symptoms, dose higher salt. take magnesium malate capsule with am and pm meal which is a protector from mercury etc. if you suffer from autoimmune/thyroid issues you want to take ATP co-factors so i recommend a niacinamide supplement one with am meal, one with pm meal. same with riboflavin dosage. never take iodine later in the day, as it energizes and wont let you sleep. 13:45 if you get intense detox issues, amplify the salt intake, but for no more than 3 days in a row. dissolve 1/2 tsp raw salt ex celtic in half cup of water. repeat every 30-45min until you urinate. salt contains chloride which will bind to bromide in blood and carries it out. 15:40 get to a holistic dentist asap to get metal amalgam fillings removed safely, dont use a regular dentist, and make sure the only material they use to refill the tooth is either zirconium or zirac z3. cost more, but its non-toxic. 17:15 TSH levels will rise, be not concerned if they're high. focus on T3 and T4 for thyroid function. 18:30 bromide detox symptoms. bromide is all around us and compete with iodine and steal the receptor sites where iodine should be and kick iodine out and anxiety, low energy, brainfog, low focus, memory, sexdrive, impatient/upset, etc. it might be a week or 2 weeks or even a month or two, depending on various factors incl how long you've been deficient, your heavy metals, etc

what about mthfr and selenium that you noted in version 1.0? 1/3 of us have warped MTHFR variants, some more than others (i'm compound heterozygous). you noted that your variation was already abundant re selenium so no need to take more. am i remembering that right?

Your view would be appreciated on the following: i have just spent a bomb on supplements in the last month, only to be told that silica dioxide is a toxic nano particle, and I am looking into this further as its in most supplements, And also microcrystalline cellulose- tree bark. Whats going on with the health food industry if this is the case. It would seem pinning these words to toxicology studies would prove this to be the case.

its safe, but not for inhaling, silicon dioxide is just sand, will get out of body, but can damage lungs

Thank you Dan so much for this video. I have suffered with Hyperthyroidism and Graves disease for years. I have been on a thyroid blocking drug for years also.

These are my concerns:
1) How will this affect my dosaging of the thyroid blocking drugs? Can I continue to take them?
2) I have suffered with the symptoms of hyperthyroidism for sometime with improvements when using the blocking drugs. Will these symptoms worsen when doing this?
3) Is this protocol Really safe for someone with Hyperthyroidism and Graves disease?

I was wondering if you could do a video specifically on Hyperthyroidism and Graves and iodine supplementation. Thank you so much for you work. May God Bless you

correction: 2% Lugol's solution contains 2,5mg of iodine per drop. So you need 20 drops for 50mg dose. (Same as 8 drops of 5% solution, or 4 drops of 10%).

so to if im taking 5% lugols, I should us 8 drop in water to get 100mg a day? That seems like a lot. Should I build up to it? I start sweating like crazy with one drop.
